Terms of Service

Effective date: June 2026 — Dextera Software LLC

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the website at dexterasoftware.com and any communications — including SMS text messages — between you and Dextera Software LLC, doing business as Dextera Software(“Dextera,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), and between you and any home-service business (“Contractor”) that uses Dextera’s communication software platform. By using our website or interacting with any Dextera-powered communication channel, you agree to these Terms.

1. Use of This Website

This website is provided for the purpose of learning about Dextera Software’s services and requesting a consultation or quote. Content on this site is for informational purposes only and does not constitute a binding offer. Pricing, availability, and service scope are confirmed directly with our team.

2. SMS Messaging Terms

This section governs all SMS text message communications sent through the Dextera platform. These terms apply both to messages Dextera sends directly (for example, follow-up messages to prospective clients who contacted us through dexterasoftware.com) and to messages sent by Contractors to their customers using Dextera’s software.

A full description of each messaging program, all opt-in methods, and opt-out instructions is available in our SMS Messaging Terms. The key provisions are summarized here.

2a. Messaging Programs

Dextera operates the following SMS programs:

  1. Missed-Call Auto-Reply.When a consumer calls a Contractor’s Dextera-powered business phone number and the call is not answered, the system automatically sends the caller one (1) SMS message. The message identifies the Contractor, acknowledges the missed call, invites a reply, and includes opt-out instructions. The consumer opts in by placing the telephone call to the advertised business number; this is a consumer-initiated interaction. Frequency: exactly 1 message per missed call. Subsequent messages are only sent if the consumer replies.
  2. Website Lead Follow-Up. When a consumer submits a contact or quote-request form and checks the clearly labeled SMS consent checkbox on that form, the consumer may receive text messages from the Contractor (or from Dextera for submissions on dexterasoftware.com) related to their inquiry, including: confirmation of receipt, estimate scheduling, appointment confirmation and reminders, and project status updates. Checking the SMS checkbox is voluntary; the form may be submitted without it to receive email-only follow-up. Frequency: varies; typically fewer than 10 messages per inquiry lifecycle.
  3. Review Request. After a job is completed, a Contractor may send one (1) SMS to a customer who provided valid SMS consent (via website form opt-in or a separate consent recorded at the time of service). The message thanks the customer and includes a link to leave a review. Frequency: exactly 1 message per completed job.
  4. Customer Support / Conversational. Two-way SMS conversations between a Contractor and a consumer who has already opted in under one of the programs above and who initiates or continues a conversation. Frequency: responsive to consumer messages only.

2b. How to Opt Out

Reply STOP to any message you receive to immediately cancel all further messages from that number. You will receive one (1) final opt-out confirmation message, after which no further messages will be sent unless you voluntarily re-initiate contact.

2c. How to Get Help

Reply HELP to any message to receive the sender name, a description of the program, and instructions to opt out or contact support at ben@dexterasoftware.com.

2d. Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier plan. Dextera and Contractors do not charge separately for SMS communications.

2e. Carrier Disclaimer

Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

2f. Consent Is Not a Condition of Purchase

You are not required to consent to receive SMS messages as a condition of purchasing any service from Dextera or from any Contractor using the Dextera platform.

2g. No Sharing of Phone Numbers for Marketing

Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent records collected through these programs are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

3. Contractor Responsibilities

Contractors who use Dextera’s platform to send SMS messages to their customers are solely responsible for:

  • Obtaining valid SMS consent from their customers before sending messages through the platform.
  • Ensuring their use of the platform complies with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), CTIA guidelines, and applicable state laws.
  • Honoring opt-out requests received outside the automated STOP keyword system.
